5 WEIRD THINGS THAT PUT YOUNG LADIES UNDER PRESSURE TO MARRY EARLY

They don’t want you to know these, I don’t mean age, peer pressure etc, nah nah, I mean 5 weird, hidden unthinkable, terrible and overlooked stuff that make many babes want to just hook up before it's late.

This is not the kind of write up that we dance around, this one is simple and brief. Who else have seen with me that unlike a  few years back, young ladies and even adolescents of these days seem to be so much under pressure to marry early.

Don’t get me wrong, aspiring to get married while a girl is still young is actually in order, but the level of noise, busy body and even desperation young girls go about it recently is actually off the mark.

You may not believe that a lot of your female friends between 21 and 28 years are already going to prayer houses and meeting prophets, doing all sort of dirty religious and voodoo stuff to get married. I don’t want to talk about ladies above thirty, that is a different case.

While thinking deeply and through interaction and observation, I discovered 5 terrible, unusual, overlooked and in fact funny reasons why ladies who still have more time to pursue their career or education are instead pursuing men or ‘husband’.

(1)   FATNESS (OVERWEIGHT): Seriously, the way women are foaming these days is just mind blowing. I mean shawama, noodles, rice, burger, doughnut and the rest of the junks are paying them well.

 Apologetically some are just nature cum improved gene or improved variety of the weight in their family history. When a 19 year old girl is getting too fat and tall like a thirty year old lady, tell me why she should not be afraid that soon, no man may be interested in her extra-large size? So she begins to look for husband and unnecessary pressure for marriage sets in due to fear.  

(2)   FADING BEAUTY: This is a bit complicated but its real. When a girl is very beautiful and she is the latest big thing in town, her head explodes as she tries her best with the pressure from male friends, most times in exchange for ‘care’ (resources for more beauty), at this point, all the guys want to have her and she will definitely feel on top of the world. But may be soon, due to one of this STDs that are very good in drying up people and destroying the freshness and natural beauty of both guys and ladies, or as it is with any product whose usefulness has been over stressed, her physical beauty begins waning and wearing off, and she observes that the volume of traffic in her route has dropped drastically, dear, the next option is to get married with whatever is left before it gets too late. At this point they begin to put themselves under pressure to get married. They are now very prayerful, humble and would even greet a guy good morning at 6pm.

(3)   GOOD JOB (MONEY): This particular point only applies to women of wisdom. Wise girls know that as they become more comfortable and richer, their new influence and high financial status will automatically be a barrier to some would-be suitors. A man would need to be ‘born-again’ in cash and liver to approach a young lady who is driving a KIA RIO worth 4million naira, with her pair of sunglasses or lenses on her nose. Surprisingly rich guys don’t go for rich ladies some of the time, because their ego won’t let them take shit from another influential woman, rather they love clubbing and partying with them only to marry an average babe. So wise girls that know these dangers are always under pressure to marry before their wealth become their cross.

(4)    POVERTY: oooh yes, if money would make someone want to marry quick, then poverty would make a girl want to marry quicker. In fact one beautiful girl in a poor family is seen as the only hope and savior of the family. The longest prayer point in such home is for the girl child to get married to a rich man as soon as possible. In this case, all the supposed standards, considerations and characteristics of a presumed good husband/in-law are damned and pruned to just one item, MONEY. A 22year old girl from a very poor home is already late for marriage from the home perspective. The hope of survival, education and welfare of her young siblings is hung on her marriage. Only God do help them.

(5)   UGLINESS: I’m so sorry about this point; I know we are religious people so we say that everyone created by God is handsome and beautiful, YES. But if some are more physically beautiful than others it definitely means some people are less presentable than others, and they know so. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and beauty is in the heart, bla bla bla, my dear forget that thing, the mere fact that you do accept when you are told that you look good means there are those who do not. My Prof used to say that the eyes must eat first before any other part of the body. Some young ladies do know that they are not so physically desirable, and they experience very low or no male traffic, so God is usually the hope for the religious ones and for the others, hmm they go all out. I have seen two ugly but rich ladies using their money to marry a man (I don’t mean that its only ugly women that do this, nor is there anything wrong with it) and they are being even abused in the affair, but lack of confidence due to their looks make them endure. It’s not the best but being physically not so presentable makes some girls even guys to suffer inferiority complex, hence, the undue pressure for quick marriage.
